Will make GST infra faceless and state of the art: Delhi minister Atishi
NEW DELHI: The capital’s trade and taxes office will soon have faceless tax administration services.
Finance minister Atishi said state govt was working to make the IT infrastructure of Goods and Service Tax (GST) “state of the art” with data analytics and automation software, in collaboration with Indian Institute of Technology, Hyderabad.
“This will help in tracking, monitoring and simplifying the refund process through artificial intelligence and data-analytics.
This will reduce processing time and errors in files,” Atishi said in her budget speech. “This will help in detecting defaulters and tax evasion and taking action against them. The entire process will not only promote transparency in the system but will also eliminate corruption in tax administration,” Atishi added.
