UP GST Dept issued Notification regarding qualification of officers of Uttar Pradesh

The Uttar Pradesh GST Department issued Notification No.-749/XI-2-24-9(47)/17-T.C.260-U.P.Act-1-2017-Order-(320)-2024 dated August 08, 2024 regarding the qualification of the officers of Uttar Pradesh, for appointment as a Technical Member(State) In The State Benches of GST Appellate Tribunal (GSTAT).

Notification relaxes the qualification from the requirement of "completion of twenty-five years of services in Group A, or equivalent" as per proviso to clause (d) of sub-section (1) of section 110 of Central Goods and Services Tax Act, 2017 (Act no. 12 of 2017) to "at least twenty-five years of service in the Government as Gazette Officer" for a period of ten years from the date of publication of this notification.
