SURAT, GUJARAT : The State Goods and Service Tax (SGST) department in Surat has unearthed serious irregularities within renowned ice-cream brands, including Bismillah and 51-Rainbow. The investigation revealed cash transactions worth Rs 2 crore from both groups and their franchises.

Bismillah’s Alleged Transgressions
Bismillah, known for its ‘B’Creamy’ franchises, was found to have over 30 operating outlets in Surat, many of which lacked formal agreements with the parent company.
51-Rainbow’s Involvement
Similarly, 51-Rainbow was implicated in the irregularities, with SGST officials uncovering significant cash transactions amounting to Rs 50 lakh.
