Sr finance officer of co arrested for 88cr GST evasion
Navi Mumbai: The CGST Navi Mumbai Commissionerate arrested a senior finance official of Foodlink F&B Holdings India Pvt Ltd for GST evasion of Rs 88 crore.
The company supplied taxable service of Rs 492 crore approximately without issuing any tax invoice. The first arrest in the case was made in Dec 2023, when the finance controller of the said company admitted to his role in illegal transfer or deposit of cash generated from the stated modus operandi, a press release issued by Press Information Bureau said.
The accused was arrested from Ahmedabad and has been remanded to judicial custody till March 12. tnn
