Pattambi scrap trader arrested for 12-Cr tax evasion.

The accused, identified as Usman of Ongallur in Pattambi, is the owner of 'Sain Traders', a scrap trading firm.

It was found that he evaded an input tax of Rs 12 Crore from his establishment. On Thursday morning, the GST and Intelligence joint team searched his house in Pattambi, where fake GST documents and transaction details were found. Following this, he was arrested and taken to Kochi for interrogation.

After a medical examination at the General Hospital, he was produced before the magistrate.
