Mankind Pharma Secures Relief as GST Appellate Authority Drops Rs 46.32 Lakh Penalty
Mankind Pharma Limited has informed the stock exchanges that the Joint Commissioner of State Tax (State GST Appeals), Nagpur, Maharashtra, has dropped a penalty demand of Rs.46,32,582 that was earlier imposed under the Central Goods and Services Tax (CGST) Act, 2017.
The company received an Order-in-Appeal dated February 16, 2026, overturning an earlier Order-in-Original dated February 28, 2025, which had levied the penalty in respect of the financial year 2020–21.
The appellate authority has completely dropped the penalty demand that was levied in the original order.
Mankind Pharma clarified in its disclosure that no violations or contraventions were committed or alleged, and there is no material financial, operational, or other impact on the company arising from the appellate order.
