Mahindra & Mahindra faces Rs. 3.5 Lakh penalty over e-way bill errors; plans Appeal
According to an exchange filing, Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd has received an order from the Assistant Commissioner, Jurisdiction—Haridwar, Uttarakhand, imposing a penalty u/s 129(3) of the Central Goods and Services Tax Act, 2017, amounting to Rs. 3,53,170/—due to certain clerical errors in the E-way bill.
Based on its assessment, the company is likely to file an appeal. "The Company is hopeful of a favorable outcome at the appellate level and does not reasonably expect the said Order to have any material financial impact on the Company," Mahindra & Mahindra said in an exchange filing.
The disclosure was filed under Regulation 30 of the SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015.
