Kerala GST Dept issued clarification on Manner of penalty calculation under the IGST Act

The Kerala SGST Policy Division vide Circular No.12/2024-Kerala SGST dated August 13, 2024 issued a clarification on Manner of penalty calculation under IGST Act, 2017 for the show cause notices issued under sec 73(1)/74(1) of the KSGST Act, 2017 read with section 20 of the IGST Act, 2017.

It has come to the notice that field formations require clarity in the computation and imposition of penalty under the fourth proviso of Section 20 of the IGST Act, 2017 in cases where tax is being demanded u/s 73(1)/74(1) of the KSGST Act, 2017
