Haryana: Two Sonipat-based businessmen arrested for role in Rs 15,000-crore GST fraud
Sonipat: The Haryana Police arrested two businessmen who nearly executed Rs 15,000-crore GST fraud. Identified as 28-year-old Ajay Sharma and 38-year-old Sanjay Jindal, the fraudsters were arrested in Sonipat on Wednesday. It is worth mentioning here that the Haryana police have already arrested at least 30 accused in the case.
According to a report of The Times Of India, Sharma and Jindal formed more than 3,000 shell companies using fake Aadhaar and PAN details and claimed the input tax credit on their behalf. The two fraudsters had in June last year claimed Rs 26 crore from the Centre.
