Gandhinagar: Gujarat recorded steady growth in Goods and Services Tax (GST) revenue in March 2026, as per data released by the Union Finance Ministry today.

On a post-settlement basis, the state’s State GST (SGST) collection rose by 10% year-on-year to Rs.6,835 crore, compared to Rs.6,193 crore in March 2025.

On a pre-settlement basis, Gujarat collected Rs.4,450 crore in SGST in March 2026, registering a 5% increase compared to Rs.4,246 crore in the corresponding month last year.

At the national level, post-settlement SGST collections across states and Union Territories grew by 5% to Rs.90,817 crore in March 2026, up from Rs.86,707 crore a year earlier. Pre-settlement SGST collections increased by 7% to Rs.53,628 crore, compared to Rs.49,591 crore in March 2025.

Although the figures are provisional and subject to revision, Gujarat’s continued GST growth indicates stable economic activity and consistent tax compliance in the state.
