GST council to meet on 28th May, after a long rest

Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman to chair the meeting via video conferencing at 11 AM in New Delhi on 28th May 2021. The GST Council meeting to be held after a long time.  This is in light of a number of states that have sought GST rate cuts on essential Covid supplies, and have been seeking a Council meeting to discuss the matter.

The meeting will be attended by Shri Anurag Thakur besides Finance Ministers of States and UTs and Senior officers from the Union Government and States.
