Government employees must provide information requested by citizens under the Right to Information (RTI) Act, 2005, as per the law's provisions and regulations, emphasised Dadu Bulle, Training Manager and Research Officer at Yashwantrao Chavan Academy of Development Administration (Yashada). He made this statement during a training camp organised to familiarise officers with the RTI Act.

PCMC’s Labour Welfare Department and YASHADA hosted the camp at the GD Madgulkar Auditorium in Akurdi. The event aimed to educate officials on properly implementing the RTI Act.

Attendees included Chief Labour Welfare Officer Pramod Jagtap, public information officers from various departments of PCMC, public relations officers, and Chief Trainer of YASHADA, Rekha Salunkhe.

During the session, Bulle provided detailed insights into the Right to Information (RTI) Act, 2005, through a computer presentation. He explained the process of applying for information, handling applications, exceptions to disclosure, and procedures for partial and third-party disclosures. Bulle also elaborated on the powers, duties, and functions of the information commissioner, as well as the responsibilities of public relations officers. Various doubts raised by PROs and Appellate Officers present were addressed during the training.
