CBIC Notifies Sea Cargo Manifest and Transhipment (First Amendment) Regulations, 2024

The CBIC issued Notification No. 26/2024-Customs (N.T.) dated March 28, 2024 amends the Sea Cargo Manifest and Transhipment Regulations, 2018. The amendment, known as the Sea Cargo Manifest and Transhipment (First Amendment) Regulations, 2024, will come into effect upon publication in the Official Gazette. The key change in these regulations is the extension of a deadline; in regulation 15, sub-regulation (2), the original deadline of March 31, 2024, has been extended to June 30, 2024.
