CBIC notifies reduced GST rates on Covid-related medicines, equipment
The Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC) Tuesday notified two notifications i.e Notification No. 04/2021- CT (Rate) & Notification No. 04/2021- CT (Rate) dated 14th June 2021, regarding 5 percent GST on 18 Covid related relief materials including oxygen concentrators and remdesivir injections, and reduced the tax on ambulances from 28 percent to 12 percent, till September 30.
The Board has rescinded the notification imposing 12 per cent integrated goods and services tax (IGST) on oxygen concentrators, imported for personal use.
