9 booksellers & uniform dealers get notice
Chandigarh: The departments of excise and taxation as well as education jointly inspected books and stationary shops across the city on Friday. Nine booksellers and uniform dealers were served show- cause notices by the department to address issues related to compliance. Taxpayers were directed to comply with issuance of invoices as per the GST Act, 2017.
Excise and taxation commissioner Vinay Pratap Singh said books and uniform sellers were advised by the department to issue bills with correct tax to all customers.
