On 3rd September,2024, an advisory was issued by GSTN introducing a new feature named “Invoice Management System [IMS].” This facility is being introduced to assist the taxpayers in matching their records and invoices with those issued by the suppliers to ensure the claiming of accurate ITC by the recipient.
This feature would enable taxpayers to efficiently address invoice corrections/amendments with their suppliers through the GST portal. This will also facilitate taxpayer in matching of their records/invoices vis a vis issued by their suppliers for availing the correct Input Tax Credit (ITC).
